Headbetter has a new home at Salon Republic in Encino. If you knew the Sherman Oaks salon, you’ll find me a little farther down Ventura Boulevard. These days, it’s just me, and every appointment is with me.
I’m Johnny Ciccone. I’ve spent thirty years doing hair, beginning with Beverly Hills training and a four-year Sassoon apprenticeship. My work has taken me into film and television and around the world teaching haircutting for Eleven Australia. Here in the salon, that experience goes into figuring out what will work for you.
Haircuts, highlights, and balayage
We’ll talk about what you like, what you want to change, and how you handle your hair at home. I pay attention to its natural movement and the way a shape brings out your features. With highlights and balayage, placement matters as much as the shade: where the light falls around your face, how the color blends, and what happens as it grows out.
You can bring pictures, ask for something different, or come in happy with your hair and wanting to keep it that way. You don’t need to know the technical name for what you want.
